The history of the hand pallet truck is usually traced back to the first decades of the 20th century

The history of the hand pallet truck is usually traced back to the first decades of the 20th century. In many manufacturing plants, the need to move raw materials and finished goods with greater efficiency was becoming increasingly important to meeting higher production levels. This early version of the pallet truck was helpful in transporting a small amount of goods from the warehouse to the production floor, but still did not offer the efficiency needed. With the invention of the hand pallet truck, a single employee could lift and move an entire pallet loaded with goods. The loaded pallet could be transported with ease, requiring less time or resources to move than carrying the materials by hand or even with the use of a hand truck.
One of the advantages of a hand pallet truck is that the device is relatively small. This makes it easy to use the truck in tight spaces where a forklift would never fit. The smaller size also makes it easier to ease through winding spaces that a forklift may or may not be able to negotiate. For this reason, it is not unusual for manufacturers to own at least a few of these trucks and have them available for use in various departments such as plant floors, shipping areas, and warehouses where finished goods are stored.

Manual pallet truck has all the features

Manual pallet truck has all the features you would expect. It’s simple, reliable pump will give you years of trouble-free use.
A basic hand pallet truck consists of a set of blades that can be aligned to slide under a pallet, lifting the pallet off the ground by several inches. A control panel at the opposite end of the device makes it possible to adjust the width between the two blades, accommodating pallets of different sizes. A base supports both the controls and the blades, and is mounted on a set of small wheels that make it easy to maneuver the truck. In most designs, the rear set of wheels will swivel, making it a simple task to negotiate corners. There are also designs in which both the front and back sets of wheels are capable of swiveling.

This unique pallet truck has a quick lift facility

This unique pallet truck has a quick lift facility which is really useful when quick pallet movements are important.  The first two pump strokes raise the forks straight to the underside of the pallet and the next proceeds to lift it clear of the ground. This is much quicker than more strokes required by normal pallet trucks.
Our pallet truck made of polyamide and non-metallic materials, it is also light and noiseless. Our powered pallet trucks have a capacity of up to 2500kg and are specially designed for restricted surroundings whereas the heavy duty 2500 kg pallet truck is built to withstand rigours of everyday use in the industry.

The hand pallet truck is without any doubt the most basic

The hand pallet truck is without any doubt the most basic, yet essential tool in materials handling. For decades, it has served as the “first assistant” for lift truck operators loading and unloading pallets on location.
Simple to operate and manoeuvre, they make it possible to transport one or more pallets around without the use of heavy equipment. Also known as pallet jacks or jiggers, pallet trucks are relatively small and use integrated hydraulics to raise and lower the forks for easy pallet transportation. Their size and efficiency make them ideal for use in warehouses, shops and industry where they can be used in all kinds of applications, helping to create a more productive environment.
Whether you are looking for a pallet truck to work over short distances; or for very wet, tough environmental conditions, or as a work bench where high lifting is needed, Cat Lift Trucks has built a model for every occasion, designed to suit your needs. Our hand pallet forklift trucks are designed to make your materials handling more efficient and time saving and are also easy to maintain over a long service life, giving your business a good return on investment.

A manual pallet jack is a hand-powered jack

A manual pallet jack is a hand powered jack. Most commonly seen in retail and personal warehousing operations.
Powered pallet jacks, also known as electric pallet trucks, walkies, single or double pallet jacks, or power jack, are motorized to allow lifting and moving of heavier and stacked pallets. Some contain a platform for the user to stand while moving pallets. The powered pallet jack is generally moved by a throttle on the handle to move forward or in reverse and steered by swinging the handle in the intended direction. Some contain a type of dead man's switch rather than a brake to stop the machine should the user need to stop quickly or leave the machine while it is in use. Others use a system known as "plugging" where in the driver turns the throttle from forward to reverse (or vice versa) to slow and stop the machine, as the dead man's switch is used in emergencies only.
